Cocoa Prices Drop to 2,700-2,750 FCFA per Kilogram at Campaign's End

Current News Cocoa prices in Cameroon have fallen to 2,700-2,750 FCFA per kilogram as the campaign comes to an end, according to reports from Investir au Cameroun. This price drop comes amid a 19.9% decrease in marketed production, which has reached 247,914 tons for the 2025-2026 season (source: Investir au Cameroun).

Golden Beans/ICE/ONCC Prices As of August 6, 2026, the prices are as follows: 4248 £/T for cocoa on ICE London, down by 2.39%. Locally, the cocoa price is 3,181 FCFA/kg CIF and 3,104 FCFA/kg FOB, with a buying price in Douala ranging between 2,650 and 2,700 FCFA/kg (source: ONCC).

West Africa / Cameroon In Cameroon, the cocoa market situation is concerning, with exports dropping by 35% to 125,469 tons (source: Sika Finance). Meanwhile, robusta coffee exports have generated 3.5 billion FCFA, marking a 300% increase (source: EcoMatin). This contrasting dynamic between cocoa and coffee may influence producers' and exporters' decisions in the coming months.
